This film is built from sound and imagery only. There’s no dialogue—just the sensory world as I experience it through autism. The sound is often too loud. Lights flicker. Space feels too close. These are everyday moments, but they build into something overwhelming. I wanted to show what it feels like when my nervous system is overloaded, not explain it. Every frame is personal. You don’t have to understand everything—just feel it.
My video portrays sensory overload from an autistic perspective—an intense, overwhelming battle. Sounds and sensations crash over me like a thunderous blast, shattering everything around me. I move through the ruins, experiencing the chaos and struggle, trying to make sense of it all.
This work explores the echoes of childhood play, infused with a dark and mysterious undertone. As an autistic artist, I experience the world through heightened sensory awareness, where sounds, textures, and memories blend into a rich and complex landscape. The way I process and recall moments—often with an intense focus on details others might overlook—shapes the way I create.
My work explores the journey of walking through past childhood traumas using sound and poetry. Through video, I weave together memories, emotions, and healing, transforming pain into art.
Stimming is a form of self-expression and regulation used by many autistic people. In my art, I honor its rhythm, repetition, and sensory beauty as a language of comfort, focus, and joy.
